It Can Be Anything by Immediate Group
Daily Pick - Film Shortage: https://bit.ly/3kc6wmx Official Selection - Retrospective of Jupiter: https://bit.ly/3mkrdPO Featured on Motionographer: https://bit.ly/3zfi3I8 Rachel has an intellectual disability and has been an artist for over 8 years. She loves to draw and create. The images, shapes and feelings you embody when looking at her work is truly special. While she has a hard time communicating verbally, her art has a way of connecting with people and communicating on a whole other level. The film is an inter-dimensional journey of creativity through the lens of Rachel’s drawings. Her work represents a unique and vast creative landscape to explore. More importantly, her philosophical outlook establishes an open-mindedness and inclusivity that is both beautiful and inspiring. Our intention was to leverage that outlook and use her phrase “It Can Be Anything” as a mantra to steer us through her journey. EVOLUTION by Diego Coutinho
direction, design, animation: Colts - Diego Coutinho soundtrack: Rodolfo Coutinho - “Evolution” is an experimental animation that does not aim to make the viewer understand the narrative in an objective way, but rather see it in a subjective way, allowing the spectator to enjoy a fantastic journey, together with an interesting blend of techniques in animation. The film gets its inspiration from the theory of evolution. We can see life beginning to manifest itself in its most abstract state, which is represented as pure colors at the beginning of the film, all the way up to its apex, with creatures finally living in an ecosystem. Everything happens in an accelerated and almost aggressive rhythm. For visual and animation aesthetics, inspirations were found from a mix of Japanese animations with animation techniques used in motion graphics. Norman McLaren, a great animator and director from the 80s, was the biggest inspiration in the way the animation and the music is synchronized. It is interesting to note that the title of the project “Evolution” not only refers to the animation, but to the process of technical evolution of the piece’s authors. Both aspects submit themselves to the process of learning something new for this project.

Polaroid x Woodwork _Motion Language by Woodwork
For our client Polaroid we developed a ton of explorations as part of developing their Motion Language. With the iconic Polaroid logo as our starting point, we thought about ways to put the brand in motion. Matching the retro aesthetic of the new design language with fitting motion. We had a lot of fun with playing around with retro vibes and rainbows. This case study shows the array of tests and routes we explored. Enjoy! Music by THNDR studio.
